Broker's Comments
I've known this particular Centaur for over 25 years and I raced against her when I had the identical sister ship. I've always had a certain fondness for Centaurs. Why? Because they sail well for a 26ft bilge keeler and quite simply do what they are meant to do. They are a solid no nonsense sort of boat from another era perhaps, but still rightly popular today.
This particular yacht is in need of some upgrading however, and her skipper sadly passed away quite recently. She is therefore asking a low price, to account for the upgrades that a new owner will surely want to make. Some of those upgrades are merely cosmetic - others, such as sails and rigging would be deemed desirable. She does however benefit from a relatively young motor.
