Broker's Comments
The design of the Salcombe Trader is based on the Falmouth Working Boats and Bristol Channel Pilot Cutters. Classic lines and traditional rig plan, combined with modern materials and building technique produce a truly fine looking craft, with excellent seakeeping capability.
This Character Gaffer presents well inside with ample seating set about a large central saloon table. There is a small but functional galley to port and a decent navigation station to starboard.
Forward, the boat has a clean and well kept head with sink and sea toilet.
The vee berth is set at a slight angle allowing space to starboard for the head.
Some of the external wood finish could use a freshen-up as could the deck and bulwark paint. To summarise, the boat is in good all round condition with relatively minor wear reflective of her age. If striking traditional lines, a robust frame and ample character interest you it's all here.
