Commentaires du Broker
Built to Lloyds Class 100A1, a traditional, heavy duty, relatively shoal draught cruising yacht, we present the Rossiter Curlew. The prototype was built in 1980 in that traditional material wood, but this was closely followed in 1981, after someone discovered that God had made fibre glass trees from which yachts might be fabricated, by the GRP version we see today. Heavy duty, traditional values, and a beauty that still raises admiring glances, the Curlew stands out amongst the white mass produced clones that clog up marinas everywhere.
This particular model has been well looked after by a conscientious husband and wife sailing couple who have cared for, renewed and replaced where necessary, and sailed her appropriately.
NOTE: She has just today re-emerged from her winter covers and the opportunity was taken to photograph her while the sun shines, hence there is a modicum of tidying still to be done and stanchions and sea cocks to be refitted. A day's work perhaps?
NOTE 2: We have just learned that the yard (Dale Sailing Co) have today been instructed by the vendor to re-anti-foul and re-do the boot topping on this yacht.
