Hallberg Rassy is the brand many aspire to own, highly regarded as dependable, well built, ocean cruising yachts.
This HR26, although one of the forerunners- built in 1978, clearly exhibits some of the design and build strengths the company is now famous for.
Well balanced with excellent directional stability the HR26 is a pleasure to sail. The cockpit is a safe, deep space with ample room for four. Inside, the settee backrests fold upwards to form large single berths to port and starboard. the forepeak twin is also remarkably spacious for the size of boat.
'Scamp' has been well maintained and thoroughly enjoyed by her current owner. Recent maintenance includes full sail drive service and replacement sail drive gasket- Dec 2022. Note, the engine was replaced with new Volvo D1-13 in 2016.
If you're looking for a capable, older style cruiser with high build quality in a well maintained condition this HR 26 should be a strong contender.
