Commentaires du Broker
The first three Slipper 42s that were built promptly set sail for Australia. You can understand why. Van de Stadt designed robust boats, renowned for their seaworthiness.
This boat has a deep cockpit with access to the saloon and aft cabins, duplicate controls at the binnacle, in-mast furling for the main and a bow thruster for added control. There is a plethora of winches and navigation equipment.
This vessel has only had two owners from new, both meticulous. The first on advice from Tyler’s Boatyard specified a mast 10% higher than standard, offset by additional lead balance on the keel. This to go racing.
The current owners removed teak from the decks when it started to lift and applied Kiwi Grip to those areas.
All expenses have been recorded in a book by consecutive owners. There has been a recent survey and engine service this summer.
Down below there is a spacious saloon separated by heads compartment and hanging storage from the forecabin.
The galley features ample storage and work surfaces, two sinks and a large drawer refrigerator.
Aft there is a long pilot berth then a large aft cabin with its own spacious heads compartment.
There are all the creature comforts for extended voyages. The current owners have sailed the length and breadth of the English Channel up to the Friesian Isles.
This is not a boat for a beginner to pootle out on day trips but a passage maker ready for more adventures!
Note from broker, May 2024 - I recently revisited this lovely boat, after her owners had spent much effort maintaining her deck and interior floor and, I have to say, they look great! She really feels and looks like an enthusiast's yacht - with a safe, solid and incredibly well equipped aura, I'd definitely pick her for long trips! Just look at the details - nice clean running rigging, the right thing are properly labelled with traffelite tallies...the list goes on!
These boat details are subject to contract.
Note: Offers on the asking price may be considered.
