I want to see full spec & all the high res photos of this boat
This Achilles 840 has had a very interesting history. She was fitted out and launched in 1981 and sailed for less than a decade before being taken out of the water, where she stayed for 20 years. She was then purchased by the current owner who has spent a lot of money updating her. Her hull has been painted, she has new sails. Rigging and running rigging have been replaced. New furlex furling gear has been fitted. The engine has been overhauled.
This design has been well proven with a number of transatlantic crossings to their credit. She sails well and is easy to handle with a good turn of speed and has a deep safe cockpit making her an ideal family boat. Internally she has a forward cabin with a double berth and heads to starboard. In the main cabin there are 2 settee berths, the galley is to port and there is a quarterberth opposite. A large saloon table hides a good sized wine locker within. Down below she requires a good clean and tidy up but nevertheless she is basically a nice little family cruiser.
