Broker's Comments
A little history: "to begin, at the beginning"!
The class prototype, 'Twister of Mersea', was an instant racing success when she hit the water in 1963. In her first few seasons she carried all before her and around 30 wooden Twisters were built by a variety of builders. GRP production began in 1964 with Tyler's moulding the hulls and Uphams finishing off with a timber deck, cockpit and coachroof. This fine example of the class is from that period. She has been in her present ownership for the past 19 years and she has been a regular visitor to the West Country, France and Ireland. She has been well maintained and is in better than average condition for her years. A proper sea going yacht, Twisters have been all around the world and this one could do the same, if that's your game!
Incidentally, we have a very comprehensive history on this yacht and a friendly and knowledgable owner.
