Viking Power Boats started building wood boats in 1964. In 1971 they changed over to fiberglass and have built over 4,000 boats. The Healy family still owns the company located in New Jersey. The 35' Convertible is one of their most popular models with over 400 built. Viking is well-known for its designs, interior layouts and good construction methods.

Starting at the flybridge, you notice a unique design. There is a center console with both a helm and companion seats. On the forward side of the console is an almost full-width bench seat.
Moving down the heavy duty SS ladder you find a full width, two-piece cockpit bench seat. The seat is easy to move forward to access the lazarette hatch and dinghy.
Moving forward, through double sliding doors there are custom seats to port and starboard. These are designed to provide seating that is high enough for easy viewing through the side windows. These can be removed if a new owner wants more traditional seating.
The galley is located to starboard opposite the lower helm. The double helm seat also provides a tip-up half seat for standing while under way.
Moving forward you find the head to starboard which includes a separate shower. Opposite the head is a dinette that converts to a double berth. A V berth with filler is located forward with a TV located on the forward bulkhead.

The Viking 35' is a very comfortable NW boat. The larger sedan interior supplies a much larger flybridge seating and helm area and the aft deck is big enough for a large aft seating area with room for at least four deck chairs. With the double-opening sliding doors to the saloon it makes for a large family gathering area. The double lower helm seat has plenty of room for two people and is designed to allow standing at the helm.
The dinette is comfortable for 4 people and does convert to a double berth. The shower is separate from the head area and keeps that space dry.
Over all this is a great family boat and is considered to be a good sea boat. Many interior updates have been accomplished making her attractive and contemporary.
The Port engine was replaced with new and has only 400 hours. The starboard engine has had regular maintenance and many parts replaced. It has about 1300 hours and runs well.
