PIRATES TAKE FOLK FESTIVAL BY STORM!
The tenth Fishguard Folk Festival is sadly over, but people are still smiling with happy memories of a gloriously sunny week-end, great music and old friendships rekindled.
Grateful thanks are due to Mike of Boatshed Wales for sponsoring the Pirates and Smugglers Walk – (Junior Pirate Thomas Lewis and mum Wendy taking first prize in both sections for best dressed pirate!) and the shanty singing in the Ship Inn, Lower Town, went with a Yo Ho Ho thanks to the Boatshed Wales rum!
Wendy (violin) then joined Boatshedwales broker Alan Coy (bass guitar) for some rip roaring jigs, reels and songs – still in her pirate outfit; I think she likes it!!
