Broker's Comments

This Gibsea 77 is now for sale with a London mooring in South Dock Marina, SE16. Offered as a very affordable way to get into this overly subscribed marina, this 1981 26ft yacht could be used as a pied-a-terre or, to fulfil the potential of the mooring, be swapped for a larger boat that is more suited to liveaboard usage.

The boat itself is in fair condition for its age but hasn't been sailed in a few years. It would therefore require some investment before going back to sea. We have not seen what condition the sails are in or been able to run the engine although that is probably just in need of a new battery.

As mentioned before, the real value here is the leisure mooring at South Dock. Leisure moorings allow for 365 day usage and current mooring fee is £4,029 per annum. This community of boaters goes from strength to strength, particularly as the cost at other marinas continues to increase. This really is one of the cheapest routes to get a London mooring currently available.
