Broker's Comments

The Feeling 39 DI is well reviewed as perhaps one of the best examples of a lifting keel, performance production yacht. The design produces a blue water cruiser that sails like a steam train in anything over a force 4, turns on a dime and has the ability to anchor in a couple of feet of water or indeed dry out altogether.

To achieve this the design incorporates a lifting, keel-like centerboard that reduces 7’4″ of upwind draft to a mere 2’11″. Hull sections are close to flat from stem to stern to minimize the depth of the underbody. Structural skegs on either side of the centerboard trunk and at the propeller protect those critical areas. In lieu of one high-aspect, balanced-spade rudder are two shallower elliptical foils canted port and starboard; each one is engineered to accept the weight of the whole boat when on the hard.

The hull is fabricated of solid GRP, hull thickness at the bottom of the boat is one inch to support beaching, ballast includes a cast-iron belly pan affixed externally into a recess in the underbody. The lifting foil is constructed of fiberglass and weighs less than 300 pounds; it pivots around a heavy-duty stainless pin secured through bushings.

The interior comprises three-staterooms in which port and starboard cabins occupy the space in the stern, the fore cabin is offset to starboard giving plenty of space around the bed including cabinetry and seating. The galley is well appointed with double stainless sinks, cooker/oven combination and two deep cavity fridge/freezer units, there is also ample storage space for long distance cruising. The saloon is spacious with plenty of seating around a large well situated table. The interior feels bright, light and airy due to the large side and overhead windows and elegant elm trim.

A quality blue water yacht, capable of powering across oceans, anchoring in sheltered shallows and drying out if required. Add to this, a well appointed, finely finished and comfortable interior and you have an extremely well presented vessel.

A truly versatile yacht in excellent condition, I highly recommend viewing.
