Broker's Comments

The beautiful Teak interiors of these Taiwanese built boats, of this era, like this Formosa, will never be seen again at an affordable price. This example one of the last 51's built has just been extensively refitted between 2007 and present and whilst there is still some cosmetic improvements possible all the major work has been done and she comes equipped with all tools, cutlery, snorkeling gear, fishing tackle, crockery & bedding ready to go sailing.
Recent work completed includes:

2007 Teak decks replaced.

2008 Mast steps rebuilt & bulkheads re-glassed/replaced where necessary.

2010 Masts repainted.

2011 Re-rigged as necessary and upgraded new Genoa furler, new main, mizzen, jib & Genoa sails, new sheets & halyards. New sail & hatch covers. Resealed all opening ports with new face seals. New windows in main & aft cabins. New cockpit squabs & helm seat. New aft cabin main squab & saloon squabs.

2012 Recondition main engine, gearbox replaced shaft & bearings & fitted PSS drip less shaft seal. Complete repaint, new dinghy. Re-varnished inside bright work.

2013 New tropical covers. New Bimini cover & side curtains.

2015 Replaced all batteries and fitted new smart battery charger. New rudder & shaft replaced flange packing with lip seal for rudder shaft. Replaced bowsprit
2018 New Radar.

Is there a reason you place the "boatshed.com" logo on every photo ? Are you afraid someone may infringe on the copyrights? It's the most annoying thing to see when viewing a photo of a boat. Who gives a crap about your "boatshed.com " logo. Seriously !? WTF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
