My impression of this fine Trawler Yacht is of a safe, solid, go-anywhere cruising boat that will handle all reasonable conditions. I have personally driven her and she handles like a dream. To buy her equivalent today would cost at least 10 times the price of this one.
So why is she so cheap, you may ask?
Well, she is now looking decidedly ‘end of season’. She has sat in our yard for the whole of last season and winter. Boats, of any description, do not improve when left un-loved, afloat or ashore!
Mechanically and structurally, where it counts, we believe her to be in good order but her exterior has undoubtedly suffered cosmetically; varnish and external wood-work in particular.
This could easily be rectified by a keen owner armed with little more than a tin of quality yacht varnish and a good brush over a couple of dry weekends. For a less keen DIY yachtsman a relatively slim wallet might suffice! Boats, after all, are a hole in the water into which you throw money but this one should be better than most at her size and no worse than many.
Her current, heavily reduced, asking price reflects this harsh reality.
