construction

GRP construction with Planing underwater profile, gelcoat finish
The 3587 Aft Cabin Motor Yacht features one of the largest interiors available in a 35 foot monohull. In fact the interior and cabin layout is identical to the Bayliner 4087 except for the addition of a cockpit on the latter. The actual overall length of the 3587 is 37'3".

The aft cabin is full width. Unlike many aft cabin "sun deck" models, the Bayliner features easy boarding from the wide swim step up a molded stair to the sun deck, which is fully enclosed on this example. The swim step and Sea Wise davit system allow easy boarding from either side even with the Livingston tender stored upright on the stern.

The entire boat is molded fiberglass with no wood structure or exterior wood trim.

This vessel is in a covered slip in a "condo" marina in Anacortes and the owner is willing to sell the slip with the boat if desired.

Boarding is over the swim step and a molded in stair to the sundeck from where one can continue up another molded in stair to the flying bridge or through a sliding hatch and down a stair to the main salon and galley. The enclosed sun deck provides a spacious area for entertaining or dining with a great view on three sides. The sundeck is also open to the enclosed flying bridge providing a large area for social gatherings. All canvas and windows around the sundeck and flying bridge are new and in excellent condition.

The fully enclosed flying bridge features a modern control station with full instrumentation, a Simrad chart plotter, VHF and bow thruster control. Two swivel seats and "L" shaped bench seating is provided. The window sections feature zippered opening "smile" panels for ventilation. A separate AM/FM/CD player is provided at the flybridge helm.

The main salon has the galley aft to port with the dining area forward to port. The interior carpets have been recently replaced and are in new condition. The helm station is to starboard. The galley includes a three burner gas stove and oven with a full size refrigerator/freezer built in. An AM/FM/CD player is provided in the salon. Cabin heat is provided by an Ardic diesel hot air system.

On the starboard side is a couch with a built in vacuum cleaner system accessible under one cushion.

Down stairs and aft is the large master cabin with en-suite head and shower and a built in AM/FM/CD player. Forward from the salon down stairs is the bow cabin, a large head and shower and a third cabin providing sleeping space under the salon floor as well as access to the front of the engine compartment.

The engines are accesible from the third cabin, from hatches in the main salon floor and from hatches in the forward bulkhead of the aft cabin.

The "sundeck" is completely enclosed as is the flying bridge with new canvas and windows. Boarding is from the swim step and up stairs to the sundeck with a companionway to the cabin or up more stairs to the flying bridge. The Sea Wise tender davit system and the wide swim step allow easy boarding from either side even with the tender in place.

Boat equipment includes a 50 foot shore power cord with splitter "Y", water hose and deck chairs.

The anchor stores neatly under the anchor pulpit. A pressure wash down system is stored in a locker next to the anchor windlass to wash the anchor chain as it comes aboard.

The Livingston fiberglass tender is carried on the swimstep with a simple but sturdy Sea Wise davit system that allows the tender to be tilted down in the water and loaded while still attached to the swim step. The outboard is carried on a swinging mount that remains attached to the tender transom and tilts into position as the tender is lowered to the water. The outboard and tender were installed new in 2006 and have less than five hours use since new.
